Piqua Daily Call dated 
Elnora May Calland, 82, of Piqua, passed away in her residence at 7:50 a.m. 
Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005.
She was born May 25, 1923, in Piqua, the daughter of the late Howard and Cleo 
Faye (Martin) Lacy. She married Leroy E. Calland who preceded her in death 
March 28,1987. Elnora is survived by a brother, William Lacy of Oklahoma; a 
sister, Miriam Hole of Covington; aunt and uncle Raymond and Rosie Martin of 
Piqua; many nieces, nephews, friends; and a very special friend, Barbara 
Listen of Piqua. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in 
death by a sister, Dorothy Peirson; a brother, Robert Lacy; and a friend, Roy 
Gross.
Elnora was a member of the Piqua Baptist Church. She was employed for 17 years 
as a clerk for Benkert Department Store in Piqua. She loved to socialize and 
entertain with and for many people.
Funeral services will with the Rev. Mike Milthaler of the Madison Avenue First 
Church of God in Piqua presiding. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery.
