Lockwood Cantrill
PIQUA - Lockwood Cantrill, 84, of Piqua, died at 3:27 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 
29, 2009, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. 
He was born July 18, 1924, in West Liberty, Ky., to the late Robert and Jane 
(Smith) Cantrill. On Oct. 14, 1944, he married Sally Baker in Paintsville, Ky. 
She preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 2007.
Lockwood is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sherry 
Cantrill, Piqua, and Ben Cantrill, Vinegrove, Ky.; one daughter-in-law, Kay 
Cantrill, Sidney; three brothers, Eliza "Wick" Cantrill, Toledo, Cortis 
Cantrill, Canada, and Leo Cantrill, Wakeman, Ohio; two sisters, Margie Davis, 
Sidney, and Martha Wight, Piqua; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 
and one great-great-granddaughter.
Lockwood was preceded in death by one son, Scottie Cantrill.
Lockwood retired from Nicks Plating in Piqua where he worked as a polisher for 
many years.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Melcher-Sowers 
Funeral Home, Piqua, with the Rev. Earnie Jones officiating. Burial will 
follow in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. 
Monday at the funeral home.
