PIQUA - Thelma M. Ceyler, 93, of Piqua and formerly of Sidney, passed away at 
4:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Heartland of Piqua.
She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in St. Paris, the daughter of the late Ira Verna 
and Mabel (Cost) Deal.
She married Herbert R. Ceyler on Sept. 28, 1933; and he preceded her in death 
July 11, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marcella and Clifford Hensley of 
Sidney; seven grandchildren, Angela, Mark, Darius, Cheri, Terry, Janet and 
Judy; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, 
Anna Henderson, Thetis Scamahorn and Helen Riffle, all of Piqua; and one 
brother, Carl (Imogene) Deal of Sidney; many nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, three sons, Richard, Ronald and 
Russell Ceyler; two brothers, Paul and Kenny Deal; and one sister, Wanda 
Westerman, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ceyler was a graduate of Brown Township High School and a member of the 
Lena Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 
201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with Chaplain Candy Null of Heartland Hospice 
presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
