Covault, 90, of Fletcher, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, in Piqua Manor Nursing Home. Anna was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Miami County, the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Trucksis) Mines. She married Ray Covault on Oct. 26, 1935, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1990. She is survived by three daughters, Jean Riffell of Casstown, Ruth (John) Riffell of St. Marys and Carole Marchal of Piqua; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by two great- grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Brinkman and Dorotha Mae Rogers; and a son-in-law, Don Riffell. Anna was a 1935 graduate of Staunton School. A member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church, Anna served as a lay speaker and a member of the Chaplaincy Council. Anna was a clerk in the Powell Grocery Store in Fletcher and also was a charter member of the Fletcher Lioness Club and a member of the Fletcher Grange. She also served Fletcher as mayor. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Russ Tichenor of the Fletcher United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
