Lois I. Deaton, 77, of Conover, passed away at 6:04 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 
2008, in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born March 20, 1931, in Miami 
County, the daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Clela Maud (Reed) Hall.
She married Alan Deaton on June 5, 1949, and he survives. She also is survived 
by three children and their spouses, Debra and John Hanner of Beavercreek, 
Wayne and Patty Deaton of Piqua and Donald and Julie Deaton of Piqua; six 
grandchildren, John Hanner of Portland, Ore., David Hanner of Dayton, 
Christina (Aaron) Longo of Akron, Chad Deaton of Columbus, Laura Deaton, and 
Kevin Deaton, both of Piqua; and four great¬grandchildren, Jesse and Rohen 
Hanner and Kailey and Ava Longo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Evelyn Marrs. Lois was a 
member of the Lena Baptist Church and the Miami County Gideon Auxiliary. She 
was a 1949 graduate of Brown Local High School. Lois enjoyed quilting and she 
loved spending time with her family and her friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Suber-Shively 
Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher with the Rev. Philip Schumm of the 
Lena Baptist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
