ELSNER, Janet M. (Rose) age 75, of Fletcher passed away at 8:05 p.m. on 
Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in her residence. She was born on November 13, 1933 
in Champaign County, a daughter of the late Ralph and Eva (Cooper) Kauffman. 
She married Lloyd C. Rose on November 15, 1952 and he preceded her in death on 
December 27, 1970. She then married Eugene Elsner on August 1, 1974 and he 
survives. Janet is survived by four children: Tom (Jacqui) Rose of Troy, Ted 
(Lee) Rose of Xenia, Tim Rose of Conover, and Terry and Jackie Rose of 
Fletcher; two step sons, Jeff (Jackie) Elsner of St. Paris, and Mike and 
Cheryl Elsner of Piqua. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 21 great 
grandchildren. Additional survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: 
Fred and Nancy Kauffman of Springfield and Philip and Ruby Kauffman of Urbana. 
In addition to her parents and first husband, two daughters, Linda Kay Rose 
and Tondra Connolly, a son, Tony Rose, and a granddaughter, Danielle Connolly, 
preceded Janet in death. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. 
in the Fletcher United Methodist Church, 205 S. Walnut Street, Fletcher with 
Reverend Russ Tichenor presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery. 
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 
p.m. in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher. Memorial 
contributions may be made to the Fletcher United Methodist Church Building 
Fund, P.O. Box 278, Fletcher, Ohio 45326 or to Wilson Hospice, 1081 Farington 
Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
