Hague, 89, of Fletcher passed away at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, in his residence. He was born March 14, 1918, in Shelby County, the son of the late Ernest and Ethel (Hobby) Hague. He married Hildred Everett on May 18, 1940, and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Dennis L. (Jacquelyn) Hague of Fletcher and Sharon Echols of Sidney; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Shawler of Piqua, Shirley (Cleo) Terry of Columbus and Blanche Rich of Piqua; and one brother, Ernest (Betty) Hague Jr. ofHague Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Van Horn and Dorothy Werner, one brother, Eugene Hague; and one infant brother. Chester was a faithful member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church where he served many years as a deacon and trustee. He also was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Social Lodge 217 Lena F&AM and a former 4-H adviser. He was an avid woodworker, gardener and fisherman. He made his living as a farmer and was a Brown Township trustee for many years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Fred Peterson of the Spring Creek Baptist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher.
