Hewitt, 83, of Fletcher, left his earthly home to be with his loved ones that have preceded him in death. He passed away at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 in his residence. He left behind his wife, Jessie (Mullin), whom he married in 1997; two sons, Daniel (Margie) Hewitt of Bellefontaine and David (Nancy) Hewitt of Golden, Colo.; and two daughters, Judy (Jerry) Zirkle of New Carlisle, Ind. and Linda (Gary) Birkbeck of Orlando, Fla. Bob had eight grandchildren, Darian Hewitt of Texas, Adam Hewitt of Bellefontaine, Paula (Josh) Naragon of Bellefontaine, Stefanie (Steve) Hank of Chandler, Ariz., Amy (Jim) Haskell of LaPorte, Ind., Philip Birkbeck of Phoenix, Ariz, Jeffrey Shawn Lewis of Colorado and Ian Birkbeck of Gainesville, Fla. He also is survived by five great-grandchildren, Alex and Jennifer Naragon of Bellefontaine, Kyle Koga of LaPorte, Ind. and Michelle and Sydney Hank of Chandler, Ariz.. Also surviving are his stepchildren, Tami and David Hershey, Tim and Terry Reid, Ralph and Sylvia Westfall, Donald Westfall, Ruth Ann Emerick and Nancy and Jack Shorazewitz, and numerous stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. His parents; a wife, Joyce (Bair) Hewitt in 1992; a great- grandson, Jarrod Michael Naragon; and one brother, William Hewitt preceded him in death. Bob was a member of Lena Social Lodge 217, a 32-Degree Mason Valley of Dayton and a member of Order of Eastern Star 256, Troy. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, collecting clocks, and when he was able riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. David Clem of the Springcreek Christian Church presiding.
