Huddleston, 83, of Fairborn, and formerly of Piqua, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Hospice of Dayton. She had been in failing health for the past three years. She was born March 18, 1922, in Dayton, to the late Henry and Katherine (Dubin) Vandiver. On June 24, 1943, she married Charles Huddleston. She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Karl) Hilt of Fairborn; one son, Charles and wife Peggy of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Ronda (Scott) Saunders of Tennessee, Heather Veronica (James) Aguirre of Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Rob and Dr. Jenny Huddleston of Ft. Loramie and Andrew Huddleston of St. Marys; one great-grandson, Jeremy Sanders of Tennessee; two sisters, Virginia Hill and Norma (Don) Kuhn, all of Vandalia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Helen Sampson of Covington; She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Karl and Arthur Vandiver. She was very active in square dance clubs, including the Sunshine Club, the Double H Squares and the Piqua Square Dance Club and was a member of the Troy and Piqua senior citizens clubs. She was a member of the Abiding Christ Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her pets and any stray animal that came her way. She will be sadly missed and remembered by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Burcham Funeral Home, 1 19 E. Main St., Fairborn. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher.
