In 1952, she met the great love of her life, a dashing and lively Air Force sergeant, Henry Jerome (Jerry) Jacomet, whom she followed to Massachusetts and England before moving to his family farm east of Fletcher. Embarking on a life-long house building project, Willy and Jerry settled on the farm and raised their three lively children, Joyce Hall of Valley View, Texas; Jeff of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; and Jon of 1 Fletcher. All have outstanding spouses and children who are fine examples of loving and godly families. Generously sharing her energy and many talents, Willy devoted herself to being a loving wife and great mother to her children, while changing from a big-city- girl to a working farm wife. She enjoyed being involved in the fellowship of the Fletcher United Methodist Church and was very blessed by the dear friendship she found in the local chapter of the Mother's Club of America, Cradles to Campus. She later contributed her many skills to TimberKnots, the family craft business. In October 2006, Willy left the home Jerry built for her and moved into the Sterling House in Piqua, where she was blessed by the love of old and new friends, as well as many Hospice staff and volunteers. Willy entered into her Heavenly life on Jan. 4, 2008, joining her Loving Savior, Jesus Christ, her beloved soul-mate, Jerry and her precious parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Sprague, as well as her two long-missed sisters, Dorothy Sprague Boken and Lois Sprague Thomas. She leaves behind for a time her incredible children, their wonderful spouses, and 10 adored grandchildren. She also leaves a dear lifetime friend, Mrs. Pat Priest, from Valparizo, Ind. Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher with the Rev. Russ Tichenor of the Fletcher United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery Additional Comments: photo of Willmetta accompanied obituary File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/oh/miami/obits/j/jacomet647gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ohfiles/ File size: 2.7 Kb
