He was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Jackson, Mich., to the late Floyd Charles and Mildred Florence (Dunn) Livesay. He married Joan Cooper on Feb. 18, 1951, in Piqua, a marriage which would last for more than 58 years; and she survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Debbie (Jack) Weaver of Bradford, Becky (Mike) Efaw and Diana (Randy) Pennington and Brenda (Greg) Peltier all of Piqua; six grandchildren, Eric (Carrie) Efaw, Brent Efaw, Sarah Peltier, Cynthia Peltier, Alex Peltier and Jared Pennington; and a brother, Ronald D. (Carolyn) Livesay of Bloomington, Ind. He also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Mr. Livesay was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, and worked as a tool and die designer having retired from Mid-West Tool & Engineering of Dayton. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a lifelong active member of the Piqua Church of Christ where he served in many capacities, including chairman of the Building Committee and as a deacon. He was a member of the local Korean War Veterans organization. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and faithful servant to his Lord. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Travis Mowell officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
