Catherine M. Manning, 92, of Piqua, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at 
Piqua Manor Nursing Home, Piqua.
She was born Sept. 2, 1916, to the late William and Mable (Winters) McQuinley. 
On Nov. 28, 1941, she married Scott E. Manning in Piqua. He preceded her in 
death Jan. 10, 1983.
Catherine is survived by one son, Joseph B. Manning of Dayton; one daughter 
and son-in-law, Beverly and Charles Goyeneche of Heartsville, S.C.; three 
grandchildren, Rosemarie Diven, Cathy Goyeneche and Amanda Easterling, all of 
Heartsville, S.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Branson, Ella and Kaylee 
Diven, all of Heartsville, S.C.
Catherine graduated from Piqua Central High School in 1934. She was a member 
of Piqua Congregational Christian Church. Catherine was also a member and past 
matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the Women's Fellowship at the Piqua 
Congregational Christian Church. She worked for Ulhman's Department Store in 
Piqua for 30 years.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher
