Miller, 91, of 1744 W. High St., Piqua, died at 5:50 am Tuesday, March 31, 2009, in the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 23,1918, in Piqua to the late William Calvin and Emma Caroline (Schelle) Schroerluke. She married Roger E. Miller on March 21, 1941, in Piqua; he preceded her in death April 27, 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Lynn (Fred) Labs of Piqua; two granddaughters, Jessica Labs and her fiance, Jason Berger, and Sarah Labs. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Ann Miller. Mrs. Miller was a 1935 graduate of Piqua Central High School and obtained her degree in education from Bowling Green State University in 1937. She retired from the Piqua City School District as an elementary school teacher having taught, most recently, first grade at the former Staunton Street Elementary School. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a member of the History Club, the P.T.A. organization, and volunteered at Riverside School and the Association of Retarded Citizens. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Alecia A. Schroedel officiating.
