Barry A. Moore, 48, of Marianna, Fla. and formerly of Fletcher, passed away 
unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, in Jackson County Hospital in Marianna.
He was born July 21, 1960, in Sedalia, Mo. He was preceded in death by his 
father, Dale Moore.
Barry is survived by his mother and stepfather, Bette (Duer) and Donald E. 
Hook of Sidney; three children, Amanda Richards of Tennessee, Amber Moore of 
Virginia and Chris Moore of Virginia; four brothers and a sister, Terry Moore 
of Sidney, Randy Moore and fiancee Joy Atkinson of Piqua, Matt Moore of 
Arizona, Chris Moore of Cleveland and Mrs. Stephen (Rebel) Marcum of Tipp 
City. Barry was to be married in September to Lori Butler of Marianna, Fla.
Barry was a 1978 graduate of Miami East High School. He entered the Navy upon 
graduation and served for 20 years, retiring in 1998, as a chief petty 
officer. He was the owner of Vitrutech, a company based in Virginia, which set 
up networks for libraries in the Richmond, Va. area. Barry was a member of the 
American Legion Post 184 of Piqua and the Amateur Putters of America.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Suber-Shively 
Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher, with Pastor Stephen Marcum of the 
Alcony Grace Church of Alcony presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher 
Cemetery with military honors by the Veteran's Elite Tribute Squad.
