The Piqua Daily Call-abstract
Gerald G. "Gene" Motter, 76, of 1531 Beekman Dr., Troy, died Saturday, May 3, 
2003 at 8:00 pm in the Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born in Piqua on 
September 12,1926 to the late Robert and Oma Martin Motter. He married Anna I. 
Redinbo on Dec 18,1945 and she survives.
Mr. Motter previously was employed at McGraw Chevrolet, Joe Johnson, and 
Hardenbrook Ford Car Dealerships. He taught auto body shop at the Upper Valley 
JVS in the 1970's. He then owned and operated the Gene Motter Body Shop in 
Troy until he retired in 1984. He was a veteran of the United States Navy 
serving in World War II. He was a member of the Piqua V.F.W. Post # 4874 and 
the Piqua Moose Lodge. He attended the Grace United Methodist Church and the 
Piqua City Schools.
A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 8, 2003 at 10:00 am in 
the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. David Mix officiating. The 
V.F.W. Post #4874 will provide full military honors. Burial will follow in 
Miami Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm 
Wednesday at the funeral home.
