Motter, Jr., 82, of 1567 Garbry Rd., Piqua died on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 7:50 pm in Piqua Manor Nursing Home. He was bom in Piqua on December 6,1923 to the late James L. and Hazel (Rector) Motter, Sr. He married Mary L. Shoemaker on January 19,1951; she preceded him in death in April 21, 1988. Mr. Motter attended Piqua City Schools, retired as a Brick Mason from the Dayton Local Union, and was a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, and life member of the V. F. W. Post #4874. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 am in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Frank J. Sapp, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington where full military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 am in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, 500 N. Downing St., Piqua, OH 45356.
