She was born July 11, 1915, in Miami County, the daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Baumgardner) Vogler. She married Oscar Pearson on July 11, 1934, and he preceded her in death in November 1965. She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Pickering of Piqua; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Linda Pearson of Conover, Roger and Ineka Pearson of Clinton, Miss, and Byron and Linda Pearson of St. Paris; 16 grandchildren, the Rev. Steven (Sandra) Boze of El Paso, Ind., Michael (Sandra) Boze of Piqua, Kent (Amanda) Boze of Riverview, Christine (Dan) Swiger of Sidney, Linda James and John Pickering of Kansas City, Mo., Douglas (Patricia) Pickering of Kansas City, Kan., Angela (Jim) Layman of Troy, Daniel Pearson of Ft. Loramie, Gary Pearson of Conover, Tiana (Stephen) Williams of Korea, Annaleis (Joe) MacDonald of Japan, Oscar Pearson of Denver, Colo., Mark (Tracey) Pearson of New Mexico, Monica (Douglas) Funderberg of Urbana and Perry (Christina) Pearson of Lakeview; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great- great grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Laveda Kinneson of Greenville and Karen Shaw of Oakdale, Calif; two brothers, Robert Vogler of Troy and Damon (Wilma) Vogler of Huber Heights; and a sister- in-law, Dorothy Vogler of Ansonia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Boze, three sisters and one brother. Ruby was a 1933 graduate of Newton High School, Pleasant Hill. She attended the Fletcher United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Troy Chapter 257 Order of the Eastern Star. She retired in 1 972 from Caven's Meats, Conover. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Bonita Wood of the Tipp City United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery.
