Thomas Ray Pierce, 72, of Union City, Ohio, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at 3:35 
a.m. at his residence. 



He was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Piqua, the son of the late Nera Jane Pierce. 



Mr. Pierce worked as a janitor and school bus driver for Miami East Schools, 
Val Decker Packing Company, Jack Huelsman and was a farmer.  He was a veteran 
of the United States Army.



He was preceded in death by his mother; grandparents, Ray and Martha Hetzler; 
and sister, Erelyn L. Nerin.



He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Pierce of Union City; sons, Seth Patrick 
Beeson, at home, Dannie Rae and Kellie Pierce of Fletcher; daughters and sons-
in-law, Kathleen Ann and Jay Nickle of Missouri, Kimberly Ray and Bruce 
Beckrath of Maria Stein, Krista Jane and Chris North of Fletcher, Lorrie Tipton 
of Springfield and Buffy Pendergraft of Springfield. Mr.  Pierce also is 
survived by a granddaughter who resided with him, Paige Heaven Brown; 16 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Pierce of St. Louis, 
Mich.; and sister, Janet Pierce of Piqua; and three aunts. 



Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, 
Greenville. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.  The family will 
receive friends one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home. 



In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Fletcher Fire 
Dept., 6605 N. State Route 589, Fletcher, OH
