Plunkett, 86, formerly of Fletcher, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at 2:20 p.m. in the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Miami County, Oct. 8, 1914, son of the late Jeremiah and Emma (Elifritz) Plunkett. He was married to Mark K. Dock on Dec. 5, 1936, and she survives. He retired from the Piqua Wheel Company, where he was employed many years as an auto body repairman. He was also a former member of the Fletcher Fire Department. In addition to his wife, Mary K., he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Sylvia, Fred and Pauline, both of Piqua, and Jim of Chesapeake, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Hayes Wilt (Betty) of Fletcher, Mrs. Rex Dock (Jeanie) of Celina, and Mrs. Alice Muckleroy of Piqua; and two brothers, Jessie and Bernard Plunkett, both of Fletcher; and special friends, Ernest and Betty Hague of Fletcher. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Gustin, and a brother, Frank Plunkett. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Suber Funeral Home in Fletcher. Burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Wednesday until the hour of the services.
