Dale A. Purk, 74, of St. Paris, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 
2009, in Heartland of Piqua. He was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Piqua, a son of the 
late Alonzo and Hazel Derr Purk. He also was preceded in death by a brother, 
Don Purk; and two sisters, Rosemary Compton and June Pritchard. 
On July 19, 1957, he married the former Nancy Wirick, and she survives, along 
with two sons, Chris Purk and Noel (Shannon) Purk, both of St. Paris; two 
daughters, Lynn Wolfe of Sidney and June (Tim) Linniman of New Bremen; nine 
grandchildren; and a brother, John Purk of Sidney. 
He formerly attended the St. Paris Church of the Nazarene and was retired from 
Copeland Corporation in Sidney. The Rev. Wayne Jump conducts a graveside 
service at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fletcher Cemetery, N. Walnut St., Fletcher. 
Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, handled arrangements.
