Artha A. Schwartz, 70, of Piqua, died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, 
in the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 29, 1938, in Piqua, to the 
late William C. and Mary V. (Wooddell) Flaharty.
Artha is survived by one sister, Dorothy Phyllis Blair of Sidney; a very 
special friend, Edna Stiefel of Piqua; and several nieces and nephews.
Artha graduated from Piqua Central High School in 1956. She was a member of 
St. Boniface Church in Piqua. Artha worked for City Loans and Savings Bank in 
Sidney. She also worked for American Finance for six years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 1 a.m. Tuesday at St. 
Boniface Church, Piqua with the Rev. Fr. Angelo Caserta as celebrant. Burial 
will follow in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher
