Smith, 69, of 851 W. Grant St., Apt. 203, Piqua, passed away in her residence at about 2:30 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004. She was born on March 26, 1935, in Piqua, the daughter of the late Frank and Etta (Fosnough) Campbell. She married Lester Smith on Dec. 20, 1952, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1993. Her survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walt (Shirley) DeVault of Sidney, Rita Smith of Piqua and Linda Reck of Piqua; six grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Dale (Dorothy) Dawson of Piqua; and a brother, Leroy Campbell of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Campbell. Juanita was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Piqua. She was formerly a cook for "Scope" in Piqua and had an associates degree from Edison Community College. She was also a member of the Covington Eagles 3998 Aerial, the VFW Post 4874 Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 72 Auxiliary, and the American Legion Post 184 Auxiliary, all of Piqua. Memorial funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with Pastor Daniel House of the Piqua Church of the Brethren presiding.
