She was born July 26, 1916, in Piqua, the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Reed) Donnelly. She married Robert H. Wright in Richmond, Ind. in 1935, and he preceded her in death June 24, 1957. She then married Thomas B. Smith in 1964 in Piqua and he preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1976. Betty is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Zorn of Piqua, and a step daughter, Mrs. Rich (Marilyn) Geise of Cincinnati; six grandchildren, Mrs. Kenneth (Sharon) Noble of Piqua, Pamela S. Zorn of Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Dean (Marty) Nevin of Piqua, Mrs. Daniel A. (Jetta) Lavy of Piqua, Mary J. Rose of Tampa, Fla., and Roberta L. Zorn and Tim Luckey of Covington; three step- grandchildren, Micheal and Richard Geise and Tammy McConnell, all of Cincinnati; 11 great-grandchildren, five step- great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother, John R. Donnelly of Conover; and sisters-in- law, Virginia Donnelly and Jane Wagner of Piqua. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a brother, William R. Donnelly; sister-in-law, Eula Donnelly; and son-in-law, Robert Zorn. Betty was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Piqua. She was a 1934 graduate of Lena Conover High School and she belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary 470 in Coldwater, the 1099 Retirees Club, VFW Post 4874 Auxiliary, Piqua.and was a past member of the Democratic Women in Mercer County. She retired from Val Decker Packing Company, Piqua after 24 years of employment. She then worked as a home health provider in Mercer County until the age of 80. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher with the Rev. Mary Haldeman of the Family of Grace United Methodist Church, Piqua presiding.
