Tamplin, 70, of Piqua, passed away at 5 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2009, in Hospice of Dayton. She was born on April 22, 1938, in Piqua, the daughter of the late Oscar and Emma (Hoblit) Schulz. She married William Bennett "Ben" Tamplin on Jan. 29, 1960, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2008. Mrs. Tamplin is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tammy and Jarel Swartz of West Milton, Sherri Curtis of Piqua, Vicki and Dan Pierre of Piqua and Debi and Brent Jackson of Piqua; eight grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; brother, Jack (Jeannette) Schulz of Casstown; and a sister, Kay (Fred) Tamplin of Piqua. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Barnhart and Linda Schulz, and two brothers, Bud and Ronald Schulz. Mrs. Tamplin was a homemaker. She was a member of the Piqua Eagles Aerie 614 and the Troy AMVETS Post 88 Ladies Auxiliary. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with Chaplain Dave Snowden officiating.
