Taylor, 92, of Piqua, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006, in Heartland of Piqua. She was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Fairborn, the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence L. (Cosier) Funderburgh. She married Melvin A. Taylor on June 4, 1938, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 1988. She is survived by four sons and four daughters-in-law, Jerry E. and JoAnn Taylor of Piqua, John B. and Mary Taylor of Covington, James W. and Marcella Taylor of Covington, and Joe and Betsy Taylor of Piqua; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Martha Eastep of Centerville and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Mary Funderburgh of Springfield. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Taylor; a grandson, Jeffrey Taylor; and four brothers, Perry, Lincoln, Paul and Roger Funderburgh. Lois was a graduate of Wilmington College, Wilmington. She was an elementary school teacher in Russia, Fairborn and for 22 years in Covington. She was a member of the Byron Church of Fairborn, Piqua Leisure Club, Piqua YWCA and the Teachers' Retirement Club. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher, with Pastor Wesley Barnhill of the Byron Church of Fairborn presiding.
