Steven Craig Van Horn, 56, of Piqua, died at 4:54 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 
2006, at his residence following a long illness.
He was born Oct. 17, 1949, in Sidney, to Charles E. and Rachel E. (Small) Van 
Horn.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wanda (Carper) Van Horn. Also 
surviving are two children, April (David) Blakeley of Pleasant Hill and 
Matthew (Missy) Van Horn of Troy; sisters, Alma (Jack) Freistuhler of 
Maplewood and Missy (Franz) Gantener of West Jefferson; brothers, Larry 
(Becky) Van Horn and Mike Van Horn, both of Sidney; and three grandchildren, 
Kristopher and Jessica Blakeley and Owen Van Horn.
He is preceded in death by his father.
He was a member of Mid-County Church of Christ, Troy, was a 1969 graduated 
from Sidney High School, Sidney.
He retired after 35 years with the Copeland Corporation in Sidney.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, 
with Doug Oakes Sr. and Ken Dietz, ministers co-officiating. Burial will be in 
Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher.
