Nevada Marie Landon Williams, 94, of Tempe, Ariz., passed away Monday, July 
20, 2009.
Nevada was born Sept. 20, 1914, and raised in Piqua, graduating from Piqua 
High School, Class of 1932.
She moved to Tempe, Ariz., in 1959, with her husband, Lester Williams.She 
worked and retired from Arizona State University, then spent her time 
traveling and being a wonderful mother and grandmother to her family.
Nevada is survived by her four children, Mary Sue (Tom) Mays, Mitzi 
Christiansen, John Williams and Toni Tramont; grandchildren, Jim, Scott, 
Thomas, David, Kathy, Christy, and Jeremy; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and 
nephews; cousin, Mary Alice Shanks; and sister-in-law, Frances (Williams) 
Sanger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, in 1987; brothers, William 
and Russel; sister, Virginia Trisler; great-great-granddaughter, Samantha; 
parents, William Fern Landon and Rilla (Wright) London, who are buried in 
Fletcher, along with William's mother, Hulda Jane (Jenny) Dickensheet, who 
perished in the 1913 Flood
