Carl B. Willis, 63, of Piqua passed away at 1:07 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, 
in Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born on Feb. 23, 1940, in Miami 
County, the son of the late Lloyd and Marguerite (Miller) Willis. He is 
survived by two children and their spouses, Carla (Hal) Epler of Columbus and 
Danny (Vonda) Sharrock of Sidney; four grandchildren; four brothers and 
sisters-in-law, Jack (Norma) Willis of Piqua, Bill (Nancy) Willis of Pleasant 
Hill, Charles (Mary) Willis of Fletcher and David (Hilda) Willis of Covington; 
and one sister and brother-in-law, Etta (Bob) Kress of Fletcher; and several 
nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by 
two brothers, Glen and Gene Willis and one sister; Lillian Caldwell. Carl 
served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He was a former employee of Miller 
Meteor of Piqua and retired from Inland Manufacturing of Vandalia. He was also 
a member of the Miami County Horseman's Association and he enjoyed driving his 
horse and surrey. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. 
Sunday, Oct. 12, in Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher. 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in the funeral home 
with Chaplain Ed Ellis of Miami County Hospice presiding. Burial will be in 
Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher.
