Charles E. Wright, 76, of Piqua, passed away at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 
2006, in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Wakefield, Mich., the son of William E. Wright 
and Helen Tamplin Wright. He is survived by his wife, the former Geneva L. 
Jolliff, whom he married on Oct. 12, 1952; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim 
and Neil Teaford of Casstown and Sherri and Jim Barthalomew of Palm Harbor, 
Fla.; three grandchildren, Amy (Damion) Reichart of Jacksonville, Fla., Nikki 
(David) Burden of Rockford and Brian Fincel of Casstown; two step 
grandchildren, Nick and Chris Teaford of Casstown; six great-grandchildren; 
one brother and sister-in-law, Norman R. and JoAnn Wright of Troy and two 
sisters-in-law, Patricia Wright and Juanita Jolliff, both of Piqua.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Wright; his mother, Helen 
Cool; a brother, James Wright; and brother-in-law, Arthur Jolliff.
Charles was a member of the Union Baptist Church. In 1995 he retired from 
Hartzell Industries, Piqua after 25 years of employment. He was a veteran, 
serving in the U.S. Army from 1948-1953, and was a lifelong member of the 
AMVETS Post 66 of Covington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Suber-Shively 
Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Ben Peer of the Union 
Baptist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery with 
military honors by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad of Piqua.
