Deborah L. York, 51 of the Covington Care Center, and formerly of Fletcher, 
passed away at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005.
She was born Jan. 15, 1954, in Miami County, the daughter of Lloyd E. and the 
late Faith L. (Devonport) Elson.
She was a 1972 graduate of Miami East High School, Casstown, and studied art 
at Edison Community College, Piqua. Deborah was a member of the Fletcher 
United Methodist Church and was a former employee of Orr Felt Co., Piqua.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Angela York Jr. of Ft. 
Wayne, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Evelyn York of Ft. Wayne; her 
father and stepmother: Lloyd and Patty Elson of Troy; two brothers and sisters-
in-law, Dana (Susan) Elson of Fletcher and Ed (Sabrina) Elson of Ft. Wayne; 
three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jewell (Kenneth) Trout of Gallion, 
Sheilah Perkins of Pleasant Hill and Michelle (David) England of Troy; three 
nieces and three nephews. Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Faith 
Elson; nephew, Brian Trout; and brother-in-law, Donald Perkins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Suber-Shively Funeral 
Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with Pastor James Bachman of the Roanoke 
Baptist Church, Roanoke, Ind., presiding. Visitation will be prior to the 
funeral services, beginning at 1 1 a.m. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery, 
Fletcher.
