She was born on May 14, 1921, in Dingus, Ky., the daughter of the late Ben and Doll (Blankenship) Smith. She married Melvin Young on Dec. 10,1938, and he survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Bolin of Piqua; three sons and daughters-in- law, James K. (Cheryl) Young of Conover, Frank (Wava) Young of Sidney and James W. (Pamela) Young of Sidney; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Dinkins, three brothers and three sisters. Nannie was a homemaker and a member of Elm Tree Baptist Church, St. Paris. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with Pastor Bill Cantrell presiding. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery.
