Janet M. Forsthoefel, 51 ,of Xenia, passed away Sunday morning, Oct.26,2003, at
Hospice of Dayton.
She was born July 15, 1952, in Xenia, the daughter of Thomas and Wilma Ohmer
Ernstes.
She was a lifetime member of St. Brigid Church, taught for eight years at St. 
Brigid Elementary School, 16 years at Simon Kenton Grade School, 22 years as 
an adviser for 4-H, member of the Worldwide Marriage Encounter for 25 years, 
pre-marriage counselor for St. Brigid, graduate of Carroll High School in 
1970, graduate of Wright State University in 1974, 4-H Family and Consumer 
Science Committee, and meritorious service award for 22 years of volunteering 
for 4-H.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Forsthoefel, whom she married April 
20,1974; a son, Gregory T. Forsthoefel; and a daughter, Julie Forsthoefel; 
parents, Thomas and Wilma Ernstes, all of Xenia; four sisters and brothers-in-
law, Kathleen and Sam Quattrocchi, of Raleigh, N.C., Mary and Scott Lydy, of 
Kettering, Ruth Ann and Mark Hill, of Xenia, and Martha and Kenneth Davis of 
Xenia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ernstes.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 at St. 
Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Road, Xenia, with the Rev. Kenneth Schartz 
officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Neeld 
Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be held in St. Brigid 
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, P.O. Box 3509, 
Dayton, OH 45401-3509.
