Mark Lucas Powell of Xenia passed away on September 2, 2016 at 2:15 PM at the 
VA Hospice in Dayton where he lost his valiant fight against cancer. Mark is 
preceded in death by his father: Fredrick Powell; mother: Martha  Lou Powell; 
maternal aunt: Wendyl Goodfellow and his son: Adam William Delaney Powell. Mark 
is survived by his sister: Holly Powell-Kennedy of Branford, CT; ex-wife: 
Connie Powell of Enon; daughters: Michelle Grice (John) of Xenia and Christina 
Woo (Alex) of Georgetown, Kentucky; son: Eric Powell of Enon; grandsons: Jacob 
Powell of Beavercreek, Devin, Ryeley and Ethan Grice of Xenia. Mark was a gr
graduate of Stebbins High School class of 65 and attended Wright State Un
University. Mark served in the US Army in the 101st and at SETAF. Mark was a fa
faithful friend of Bill W. for over 22 years and leaves behind to many fellow de
devotees to count.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday September 8, 2016 at the 
Westminster Presbyterian Church 990 Old Springfield Pike Xenia, Ohio. Family 
will receive friends Wednesday September 7, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at 
the McColaugh Funeral Home 826 N. Detroit St. Xenia, Ohio 45385. In lieu of f
flowers Mark had asked that donations be made to  the VA Hospice Fund located a
at the VA Medical Center 4100 West Third St. Dayton, Ohio 45428 or the AA C
Central Office of Dayton 120 W. 2nd St. Dayton, Ohio 45402 Online condolences c
