Glenn C.P. Pearson, formerly of 3 Briedweng Ave., Dayton, an army paratrooper, who had served in Iceland for 18 months, and had been recently stationed at camp McCall, N.C., was killed in a jeep accident somewhere in Florida, where he was practicing parachute jumping. The letter stated that he was en-route back to a training base when the accident occured. Sgt. Pearson entered the service on Sept. 1, 1940. He attended Northridge and Stivers high schools, and was a former employee of the National Biscuit Co. Survivors besides his mother included his wife, Sue, of Denver, Col.; four sisters, Mrs. Rachel Nadosky, 1039 Brown St., and Mrs. Sylvia Chadwick, 2121 Victoria Dr., both of Dayton; Mrs. Florence Adams, Miamisburg; Mrs. Orpha Moomaw, of Hazel Park, Mich.; and seven brothers, Pfc. Aubrey in Germany, Aviation Machinist's Mate Third Class, James Pearson of the Naval Air Station, Wildwood, N.J.; Milo Pearson, electrician's mate third class on the USS Guam in the Pacific, Bernard, Homer, Tom and Ralph Pearson, all of Dayton.
