Dayton Daily News
 Services for Henry E. Thies, 89, of 3005 Brandt pike will be conducted at 
8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Meyer and Boehmer funeral home, 600 Washington St., 
and at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Rosary Church.  Burial will be in Calvary 
cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
 Mr. Thies died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday after an illness of a week.
 A native of Dayton, Mr. Thies was a member of Our Lady of Rosary Church and a 
charter member of St. Joseph's Orphans society.
 Surviving are six daughters, Sister Rosina of the Sisters of the Poor, OSF, 
St. Elizabeth hospital; Florence C. Thies, Mrs. Bertha Grusenmeyer, Mrs. Mary 
Ritter, Mrs. Catherine Seibert and Mrs. Josepha Seibert, all of Dayton; two 
sons, Carl J. and Theodore H., also of Dayton; 28 grandchildren, and nine 
great-grandchildren.

Henry Edward is the son of John Theodore and Elizabeth Ann (Brandenburg) Thies.
