Listed as among the descendants of Rev Thomas Buckingham (1646-1701) [my ancestor OOOPs - that should read 1709 as his dead-date! - who was one of the founders of Yale, 1701, and hosted the first college commencement of same at his Saybrook, CT home] and citing as his source "The Ancestors of Ebenezer Buckingham" by James A. Buckingham, 1892: EBENEZER BUCKINGHAM, born February 9, 1778, an Ohio pioneer at Coshocton and Muskingum, where he lost his life in the fall of a bridge [HMMM ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE PERHAPS??] in 1836.
