The Zanesville Signal June 4, 1903
   Coroner Matthews filed his finding Wednesday afternoon in the killing of 
Monroe Hiett.  The coroner finds that Hiett met his death as the result of a 
shot from a revolver in the hands of James Coleman.  It is stated that there 
seems to be doubt as to the suffiency of the plea of self-defense and he 
recommends that Coleman be heald to await the action of the grand jury.
