Tolbert Bateman, 76, of 951 Sevall street died at 9:05 a.m. Monday in Bethesda Hospital where she had been a patient a week. She had been ill two and a half years. "Born May 4, 1899, at Barnesville, she was a member of Woodlawn Avenue Church of Christ. "Surviving are her husband, George; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Shaw of 151 East King street, South Zanesville; a son, Russell E. Sr. of 1552 Wheeling avenue; two brothers, Hollis Tolbert of Canton and James of Colorado; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
