Darner, 63, of Conesville Route 1, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville following a lengthy illness. Mr. Darner had been a salesman at the Carroll's Buckeye Ford Agency, before retiring two years ago. He had been with Buckeye Ford since 1955 and had been a member of the exclusive 500 club. He was born Dec. 12, 1908 at Adamsville, a son of Clarence and Altha James Garner. In 1933 he was married to the former Ruth Sarbaugh who survives. Mr. Darner was a member of Coshocton elks Lodge No. 376 and formerly belonged to and was active in activities of the Briar Patch Beagle Club. He raised beagles and won numerous trophies in beagle filed trails in this area of the state. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Thomas S. Darner Route 3 and James E. Darner Route 5; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Jacquie) Erman, Route 3, Mrs. Ronald (Joan) Larr, Conesville and Mrs. Lloyd (Janice) Wells, 1610 Vine St.; eight grandchildren; one brother, H. J. Darner, Adamsville; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Townsend, Zanesville, Mrs. Ruby Williams, Venice Gardens, Fla. and Mrs. Helen Smith, Trona, Calif. Private services are to be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Free Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Ronald L. rearic. Burial will be in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be observed at the local funeral home today 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests, if so desired, contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
