The following is from the Zanesville Times Recorder, 3 Mar 1970:

Mrs. Blanche Dennis

"Mrs. Blanche Dennis, 79, of 2155 Highland drive, Licking View, died at 6:45
a.m. Monday (March 2) at Lighthizer Nursing Home where she had been a
patient since Nov. 30.  She had been seriously ill since last May. "Born
Feb. 6, 1891, in St. Clairsville, she was a daughter of Erastus and Isabelle
Jones Tolbert. "She had lived in Zanesville most of her life and was a
member of Norval Park Church of Christ. "Surviving are four sons, Bernard
Peyton of 1349 Woodlawn avenue, Charles Dennis of McFarland drive, Lynn
Dennis of Route 2 and Larry Dennis of 2155 Highland road; a sister, Mrs.
Vivian Bateman of 951 Sevall street; three brothers, Walter of Canton, James
of Toledo and John of Buffalo, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren. "Friends may call
at William Thompson and Son Funeral Home in White Cottage 7 to 9 p.m. today
and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. "Services will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday at the Church of Christ with Evangelist Justice Hesson officiating.
 Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery."
