He was born March 15, 1880, in Meigs Township, Muskingum County. Surviving are 91 descendants, including two sons, James of Friendly Hill road and Richard of Foxfire Road; seven daughters Mrs. Floyd {Mildred} Bice, Mrs Ralph {Ann} Vore, and Mrs Clarence {Faye} Porter, all of Dresden, Mrs Harry {Betty Jean} Mason and Mrs Charles {Alice} Hall both of New Concord, Mrs Paul {Barbara} Carpenterlof Race St. and Mrs Forrest {Bernice} Groves of Pendleton, Ind. two sisters, Mrs Olive Phillips of Seborn Ave., Mrs Jesse Farus of Zanesville; a brother Smith Gill of Springfield; 32 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Friens may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at Tom Funeral Home in Cumberland, where services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery. Additional Comments: Henry's parents were Humphrey and Nacy Forshey Gill. He also ran the ferry across the Muskingum River at Symmes Creek in 1939.
