Hartman, 48, owner and operator of Hartman Appliance Store at Duncan Falls, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday (July 9) at his home in duncan Falls. He had been ill since October. Mr. Hartman was born Sept. 27, 1920 in Wayne Township, a son of Mrs. Olive Longshore Hartman and the late Herman W. Hartman. For many years he was a associated with his father in operation of the applicance store. He had owned and operated the business since the deth of his father in 1961. Mr. Hartman srved in Army in Europe from 1942 to 1945. he was a life resident of Duncan Falls. He was a member of Duncan Falls United Methodist Church, Union Grange and Wayne Township (Duncan Falls) Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving in addition to his mother are his widow, the former June Archer; a daughter, Mrs. Edgel (Cindy) Koons of Dillon Falls; and a son, Mark W. Hartman of Duncan Falls. The body was taken to Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home at Duncan Falls where friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Friday.
