Dalton Marion Howell, 77, of 140 Jackson road, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at his 
home.  He had been in good health and death was unexpected.

He was born Feb. 5, 1903 in Spratt, near Shandlersville, a son of Henry and 
Sarah John Howell.  He was a life resident of Muskingum County and was a 
retired employee of McGraw Edison.

Mr. howell attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  His wife, Iva 
Snider Howell, died MArch 25, 1972.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Eloise) VanMeter of Granville; a sister, 
Mrs. Florence Dawson of Springfield; a brother, Edgar Howell of 3095 Primrose 
Drive; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Bolin Funeral Home where the 
service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Allan D. Teter officiating.  
Burial will be in Memorial Park.
