Dalton Marion Howell, 77, of 140 Jackson Road, died at 11 p.m. Thursday at his 
home.  He had been in good health and death was unexpected.

He was born Feb. 25, 1903, in Spratt, near Chandlersville, a son of Henry and 
Sarah Johnson Howell.  He was a life resident of Muskingum County and was a 
retired employee of McGraw-Edison.

Mr. Howell attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  His wife, Iva 
Snider Howell, died March 25, 1972.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Eloise) Van Meter of Granville; a sister, 
Mrs. Florence Dawson of Springfield; a brother, Edgar Howell of 3095 Primrose 
Drive; two grandchildren and seven great-grnadchildren.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Bolin Funeral Home where the 
service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Allan D. Teter officiating.  
Burial will be in Memorial Park.
