                            JOSEPH J. JONES

   Joseph J. Jones, 78, of 356 White Oak avenue, a former Zanesville 
Publishing Company maintenance department employee, died at 8:20 a.m. Sunday 
(March 17) at Bethesda Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb 16.
   He was born at Malta March 5, 1890 a son of Reason and Rosemary Taylor 
Jones.  He was a member of Central Trinity Methodist Church and the Fellowship 
Sunday School Class.
   Surviving are his widow, Dorothy; a sister, Mrs. Leola Noble of 
McConnelsville and a number of nieces and nephews.
   The body was taken to Delong and Baker Funeral Home where friends may call 
after 7 p.m. today.
