Death Comes to A.E. Maddox, 76

Ai Emanuel Maddox, 76, of 1126 Pine Street, died early today at this home
following an illness of four months.

A contractor and carpenter, he was a native of Vinton County but had resided
here 38 years. He was a member of the Christian Church at Coalton.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Radebaugh of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. H.B. Mason
of the home, Mrs. J. P. Scott of Columbus, and Mrs. R.D.Hune of Maysville
Avenue; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

His wife, Ida M., died on March 25, 1946 , and a daughter, Mrs. Carrie
Schloffman, also preceded him in death. The body has been removed to the
Dean-Swope funeral home.
