LYBARGER (died 23 Oct, 1941) Funeral services for Elijah F. LYBARGER, 55 Zanesville, night clerk at the Zane hotel, who died suddenly Thursday in his home of a heart attack, will be held Saturday at 2 pm. in the Bateman funeral home and burial will be made in Woodlawn cemetery, Zanesville. Mr. LYBARGER became ill after reporting for duty at the hotel Wed. Night and returned home early Thursday where he died shortly after. He was a native of Stovertown and a former postmaster at New Lexington. Surviving are his widow and a son; his father, Francis LYBARGER of Stovertown, a brother, Bennett LYBARGER of New Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. William OLIVER of Stovertown and Mrs. Bessie HITCHCOCK of Irville. also: Died Oct, 23, 1941 Elijah LYBARGER Rites to be on Saturday Funeral services for Elijah F. LYBARGER, 55, of 716 Orchard street, night clerk at the Zane Hotel, will be held at 2 o'clock Sat. afternoon at the Bateman funeral home with Rev. W. M. HACKENBERG officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. Mr. LYBARGER died suddenly early Thursday at his home following a heart attack. he became ill after reporting for work Wed. night and returned to his home early Thurs, where he was stricken with the heart attack. {pic} A native of Stovertown, he had lived in Zanesville for a number of years, formerly postmaster at New Lexington, he was later employed as a clerk in the Pittsburgh offices of the Pennsylvania railroad. He had been connected with the Zane since it was opened. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lella M. LYBARGER, a son Francis LYBARGER, stationed with the U.S. army at Ft. Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska; his father Francis LYBARGER, of Stovertown; a brother Bennett LYBARGER, of New Lexington, and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. OLIVER, of Stovertown, and Mrs. Bessie HITCHOCK, of Irville. The body will remain at the funeral home. (on reverse of paper it says: ...corde...)
