She had been in failing health two years. "Mrs. Morrison was the former Margaret Iantha Tolbert. She was born in Barnesville, April 12, 1896, a daughter of Russ[sic] and Isabel[sic] Jones Tolbert. "She had lived in the Zanesville vicinity for 49 years and had been associated with her late husband in the operation of Morrison's Shoe Store on Main street until his death in June 1960. "Mrs. Morrison is survived by three brothers, John of Buffalo, N.Y., Walter of Masillon, and James of Toledo; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Dennis of 847 Chester street and Mrs. Vivian Bateman of 1259 Adamsville road, and several nieces and nephews. "One sister is deceased. "Friends may call at DeLong and Baker Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today." The following is from the Zanesville, Ohio Public Library's Obituary File; dated 8 Jun 1960: Shoe Store Manager Is Dead At 65 "Lynn A. Morrison, 65, manager of Morrison's Shoe Store at 506 Main street, died suddenly at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the family home on the old Ridge road off Chandlersville road, apparently the victim of a heart attack. "He was taken in a Hillis ambulance to Bethesda Hospital where he was pronounced dead. "Mr. Morrison was a native of Zanesville. He was a son of Fred and Minnie E. Lynn Morrison. His father founded the store, first locating at 203 Main street more than half a century ago. "He was a member of Lodge of Amity, F & A.M. "In addition to his widow, the former Margaret Talbert, of Barnesville, Mr. Morrison is survived bya brother-in-law, Carl Ferrell of Mount Vernon. "The body was taken to DeLong & Baker Funeral Home."
