Mrs. Edith Paxson, 71, of 832 Dryden Road, died at 12:24 a.m. Thursday at Good 
Samaritan Medical Center after being ill since Sunday.

Born April 21, 1907 at Spratt, she was a daughter of Landon and Sarah Johnson 
Howell.  Mrs. Paxson was a member of First Free Methodist Church.  Her 
husband, Floyd Orville Paxson, died Oct. 25, 1977.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bozman of 1708 Potts Lane and Mrs. 
Gerald (Patricia) Clossman of 5075 Foxfire Drive; three sons, Donald of the 
home, Kenneth of Newark and Dalton of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Florence 
Dawson of Springfield; two brothers, Edgar Howell of 3095 Primrose Drive and 
Dalton Howell of 40 Jackson Road; 19 grandchildren and eight great-
grandchildren.

Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 
DeLong and Baker Funeral Home.
