R. Harbert of Zanesville Rt. 4. Although he had been in ill health for the past four weeks, his death was unexpected. Reed was employed as a mechanic in the Dutro garage. He was a life long resident of Sonora vicinity and was a member of the Sonora Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, Virginia; one son, PFC Raymond Reed with the Army in France; a step-daughter, Miss Gloria Oliver of the home; one brother, Willard Reed, Adamsville road; three sisters, Mrs. Belva Brock, Adamsville road, Mrs. Hazel Wible, Seborn avenue and Mrs. Ethel Gaumer of Canton. The body was removed to the Shire and Son funeral home, Adamsville and will be taken to the home Friday evening. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but burial will be in the St. Paul cemetery near Sonora.
